Ron Koehler
After graduating, Ron worked as an associate attorney for one law firm in Canton, then another law firm in Akron, before starting his own law practice in 1989. Ron served as a Springfield Township trustee from 2002 through 2005, deputy director, then director, of the Summit County Board of Elections from 2010 to 2012, and served on Summit County Council from 2017 through 2020. Ron participates in the Akron Bar Association, where he was chairman of the Probate Law Section, Municipal Court and Fee Arbitration Committees. Ron is married to Susan, and has three children and five grandchildren. Ron is a member of Christ Community Chapel in Hudson, a trustee of the Ohio Christian Alliance, and member of the Akron South Gideons. He follows the Browns, Indians, Cavs, Zips, and Buckeyes, and enjoys gardening, bicycle riding, and the beach.
